President: The President serves as the presiding officer of the Local PTA and presides over executive board and membership meetings. The president directs the affairs of the association in cooperation with the other members of the executive board. The president is also responsible for overseeing select committees.
Vice President: The vice president is an elected officer and member of the executive board. The primary responsibility of the vice president is to assist the president and help lead the PTA toward specific goals chosen by its members. The vice president is also responsible for overseeing select committees.
Treasurer: The authorized custodian of all funds of the local PTA. The treasurer’s duties include keeping records and preparing reports to comply with local, state and federal laws. The treasurer presents the proposed budget to the executive board for suggestions and general body PTA members for votes.
Corresponding Secretary: The corresponding secretary is responsible for sending notices of meetings to executive board members and/or association members, as directed. Read correspondence at executive board and association meetings, as requested by the president. Maintain the e-mail database of all PTA members in addition to updating social media and websites.
Recording Secretary: The recording secretary is responsible for keeping an accurate record of executive board and general body meetings, which become part of the permanent history of the PTA. The recording secretary is also responsible for overseeing select committees.
